A New Home - Stasis Pod #432 the hair on my face grows slower in space as it turns out after seven days the moon’s phase is backwards behind us on this endless night at the speed of light we are sleeping do you think in ten thousand years when we wake up in here will we feel more at home, or less alone? I'm going to find us a new home far from this rock that we've known the lights came on to an alien dawn we rose slowly our bodies preserved for a foreign world we're descending upon we emerged from our pod as carbon gods but we're just travelers and the smile on your face is the last of a race that we left behind good-goodbye I'm going to find us a new home far from that rock we have known
2.
We Are The Glitch - Vacationist Local, A Memoir well it all burned up it what seemed like flash the fallout came filled our lungs with ash foresight fathers from a boardroom cave were stuck on their knees in a dusty nave in the eye of the smoke I found a tribe of few calm as day I guess they always knew they initiated me and the gang “Vacationist Local 818” Aquarian age, I don’t know about that cause the water is eroding a decaying land there was a shift in our genes and a flash of light we were taken up to a windless flight destination: parts unknown contact transit there’s traffic in the wormhole strobing thoughts of a human race and there’s a hint of joy on her satellite face this is all I need radio transmission this is all I need we are the glitch in the system so we'll populate on Sirius B it’s goldilocks for sentient beings calculate the variations and leave room for the right mutations pale blue eyes & slender bones brown skin sum from a pale blue home we'll average out the races of old with symmetry, perfection, of a brand new fold this is all I need radio transmission this is all I need we are the glitch in the system so this is where my prayers got lost I missed the call, cause of lies I'd bought this is where the either speaks to frightened kids on begging knees so this is where my prayers got lost separating what I need from what I want this is where my prayers got lost I’ve got what I need and that’s all I want
3.
The Wormhole Express - A Trans-System Holiday I caught a red eye flight on the Wormhole Express I took a seat by a martian in a polka dot dress, oh yeah! she took me by the hand said "you'll never be the same boy come & dance with me in the solar rain" take it now, shake it now don't look down, don't let go these lights are never burning out a million suns are never going down the world could end & we don't care no gravity could keep us here I met a deep space pirate with galaxy eyes he said "you won't grow old at the speed of light, oh no" I just can't return to the world I came from I want to dance with my girl under a different sun take it now, shake it now, don't look down, don't let go these lights are never burning out a million suns are never going down the world could end & we don't care no gravity could keep us here we weren't meant for the world that we know forged in the stars in an elegant glow we blasted off now we won’t look back skip like a stone across the glimmering black these lights are never burning out a million suns are never going down the world could end & we don't care no gravity could keep us here our lights are never burning out a million suns are spinning round and round the world collapsed we didn't care no gravity could keep us there
4.
The Theory Of Everything - The Delusion of Permanent Habitation I woke from a nightmare but my body was still sleeping he looked so peaceful lying by her side I was faced with the dilemma should I jump back in or find my way out into the busy night I can't feel my hands no I can't feel my hands but I can breathe under water I'm levitating I can breathe under water I can float up through the ceiling I don't recall where I left my skin body cut loose, I won't see him again I can breathe under water so wrap my teeth in poppy seeds and float through the town these cars and walls all pass right through me I am free of all the weight and of the shackles of time I see in color analogue eyes can't see I can't feel my heart no I can't feel my heart but I can breathe under water I'm levitating I can breathe under water I can float up through the ceiling I don't recall where I left my skin body cut loose, I won't see him again I can breathe under water I can't feel my brain but I don't give a damn this is the center of a star, this is walking mars this is faster than light, this is everything we are! this is the death of the sun a species singing as one this is "Imagine" at last as we baptize our past we are bathing in light we are the stars in the night this is a brand new start for the immortal at heart this is a place without sin sailing solar winds all are kings and queens this is the theory of everything

Binary - Redemption In Technology, Salvation In Brain Mapping A Tribute to: Sagan, Kaku, Silva, and Tyson immortal blips on a hard drive A to D will keep us alive on a cosmic pod when the earth burns out reanimate on a different cloud salt and water our transience transcode to the new binary through and through If you want to live forever you can live forever you want to live forever you can live forever this way ten thousand years of the mystical clutching to faith no empirical I run my data through a motherboard I'll be my own savior and my own lord carbon substance impermanence we're harnessing our own light beacons in an endless night there are no saviors just the passing present there are no saviors just the passing present If you want to live forever you can live forever you want to live forever you can live forever this way

Like Amazing Grace - The Unworthy Ego Conundrum looking like insomnia and tattoos stinking like cigarettes & cheap booze I kissed a strangers lips that I thought I’d known finally stomping out the chance I’d blown Let go you tasted like honey in the summer time like a sunset turning pink on the horizon line then I opened up my eyes to see your pretty face to the light of a world that’s now a different place a different place now I know a miracle, she looks a lot like you like amazing grace a choir sang, but what's a wretch to do? what's a wretch like me to do when you let go? I was cursing myself for what I'll never be I knew someone like you can’t love a wreck like me a smoking gun a bar fight, a runaway freight train strung out, side walk lying beaten in the rain but I just want to try again now I know a miracle, she looks a lot like you like amazing grace a choir sang but what's a wretch to do? what's a wretch like me to do? I don't know under the light of a million suns forgetting everything I've done your lips touched mine frozen in time frozen in time now I know a miracle, she looks a lot like you like amazing grace a choir sang but what's a wretch to do? what's a wretch like me to do when you let go? you let go why’d you have to let go?
7.
Cosmonaut - The Cosmonaut’s Dilemma cosmonaut through a perpetual night to the system where she'd spend her life I could never tie her down coordinates off and the fuel ran out I could never tie her down I'd rather see her fly than stay on the ground said she'd stay if I asked her to the signal got lost as light years grew I could never tie her down coordinates off and the fuel ran out I could never tie her down I'd rather see her fly than stay on the ground don't get lost out there I'll face time right here don't lose you're way out there I'll be fine right here I could never tie her down coordinates off and the fuel ran out I could never tie her down she said, “ there’s static on the radio, I’m losing you, over and out” over and out
8.
Make Believe - Quantum Gatekeeper Syndrome take your time walk the right line say the right words at the right time buy these lies trade for hope use your quick wit crack a joke take a run clear your head hold your true love till you're death there's a plan stay devout follow your heart it all works out I just make believe this is real work it out in a song pray to God you're not wrong empty prayers never heard never expect to deserve hold on tight storms all pass have faith you bet your ass said my prayers stayed devout sang these songs shit didn't work out I just make believe this is real you might entertain the madness just to feel the release or find the darkness is the truth beneath the crutches of belief here's the truth just let go it's all myth no one really knows did my best sang aloud all that's left is here right now so make believe this is real just make believe this is real

Sun - Solar Worship Today And Yesterday I had to get lost to get found to turn it up and sing out loud and the whispering rain drowned out the lonely refrain cause we are gold, this isn’t wrong I could hold you until I’m gone you could brighten this place refract your light upon my face I was a king sitting on a throne even rich kings die alone enter the drowning rain the old familiar refrain of what I want but cannot have I feel my heart breaking in half you are gone but not forgotten you are everything I wanted but couldn’t have My Sun was I wrong? it felt so right in your car alone that night we were as free as the stars all time and space was ours I should have kissed your sugar lips goddamn the chances that I missed now that you’re gone I don’t recall what it’s like to feel at all I was a king sitting on sitting on my throne but this old king he dies alone enter the drowning refrain the dyer lonely refrain of what I want but cannot have I feel my heart breaking in half you are gone but not forgotten you are everything I wanted but couldn’t have My Sun

The Pale Blue Dot - The Search For Trans-Dimensional Communication oh Danny boy where did you go? is it some place warm where it never snows? and oh Danny boy are the mysteries solved? do you stay in one place or do you still evolve? is the ether as warm as your old heart? did you find your place in a bigger part? and oh Danny boy did you find your own star? or do you come back and haunt the places you were? so come back and haunt me come back Danny if you’re still alive, send me a sign I’m on the pale blue dot, on the darker side Danny boy is it empty and cold in the cosmos above? or do you stand next to God all filled up with love? and oh Danny boy do the rivers run full? are you forever young or are you wiser and old? can you still feel joy in the absence of pain? or do you long to return to your girls again? are you draped in white or naked and free? is heaven full or is there room for me? so come back and haunt me come back Danny if you’re still alive, send me a sign I’m on the pale blue dot on the darker side Danny boy

about

This album began as "the final Cary Judd album". 3 months into the recording Judd began "losing focus", as he put it. His co-producer Conor began contributing to the sound design and production aspects of the record.

The two run a boutique production house in Boise, ID and as the production continued, they began recruiting some of their favorite musicians and friends to contribute to parts of the album.

The album was slated to be named The Vacationist, but what was born as the brainchild and solo project of Cary Judd organically evolved into a cohesive group of musicians, which incidentally became a band, The Vacationist. Before the album was released The Vacationist began receiving offers to do shows based on the all-star lineup, not only locally, but regionally and nationally as well as international radio play.
